| Tokyo, Japan, October 15, 2002-Today, Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company has introduced a brand new amine for the epoxy market. According to Mitsubishi, the new amine features ideal properties as an epoxy curing agent in coating and adhesive area. This new product is based on proprietary Mitsubishi’s patented technology. One of its advantages is very low viscosity that allows formulating low-cost systems based on high filler levels. The new product will be used for a wide variety of applications including high gloss topcoat, self-leveling flooring, adhesives, and anti-corrosive and high-build coatings. Product attributes include long pot life, fast film drying, excellent adhesion to substrates, good solvent and chemical resistance.

The company has successfully completed the pilot production in July 2002, and is now initiating sample distribution. The company plans to commercialize the product in April 2003.
