The Aromatic Acids below are readily available:
NDCA (2,6-Naphthalene Dicarboxylic acid) has been used in specialty polymers and liquid crystal polymers. NDCA is typically introduced into a polymer to improve heat resistance, rigidity and UV absorbance. It is widely used as a raw material for PEN (Polyethylene Naphthalate) and as a modifier for other polymers.
MTA ( meta-Toluic acid)
OTA ( ortho-Toluic acid )
DMBA ( 3,5-Dimethyl Benzoic acid )
PEBA ( para-Ethyl Benzoic acid)
TMA ( Trimellitic Anhydride )
PMA ( Pyromellitic Acid )
PMDA ( Pyromellitic Dianhydride )
